So this week I started doing some work as an assistant to a wonderful stylist who's clients have/do include Delta Goodrem, The Veroniocas, Nicole Kidman, Jared Leto, Sienna Miller and so on.

I am so gratful to be working with someone who I not only admire heaps but get on so well with.

Gliding

haha this is my mot random diy to date..

I got the top from an opshop and the fringing from an old lamp.

I just cut the sleeves down the seam and put the fringing in, sewed it up and wham bam.

I know its sooooo fem but Ill be in my element at a concert in this dancing around haha

Kirrily Johnston's Menswear Range

Firstly let me just give a massive thankyou to the wonderfully talented Kirrily johston for doing the very first menswear line that is at the same standard as the womenswear.

This is all I have ever wanted and more.

D.I.Y Tassel and Stud Shoulder Pads.

Ok so all u need is a mixed bag of studs, about a meter a fringing and a pair of shoulder pads.

Just sew the fringing arounf the shoulder pads then go stud crazy.

U can just pin it them to whatever u want and can even just wear one.

Balmain's Mens Range??

Well since doing this blog I have been using my boyfriend Marcels broken digital camera and now it is with great sadness that I advise it has completely died in the ass haha which sucks cuz I have been making some really great pieces on my new sewing machine and am dying to show it to you.
Which leads me to my next post..
I'm really not that great with my designers like I know the big names but really am not as up to date as I would like to be so I basically see things I like and raid op shops and alter things and recently started making my own designs and incorporate what I have seen into things I like a bit more rather then spending $1000's on a few pieces but that said if i do see something I love and cant live without no price is to high :)
But...
Every now and then I notice a designer and would die to wear the pieces even just for a second i.e Alexander Wang and Balmain (I know its women's wear but I love I love) but I must say with the mens lines I continue to be disapointed at the comparison to the womens lines..

So I made this tee in my sewing class last week.

I made mine from scratch but if u have a v neck tee (it works better with a v neck) just get a zip long enough for the tee and snip and stich.

I also added a little tassle on the zip for an extra sumtin sumtin ;)

As I mentioned in a previous post I wanted more then anything the Matthew Williamson for H&M studded leather jacket and as I predicted I picked it up on ebay :)

DIY 1

So I totally loved the holey top Ksubi did but just couldnt justify $200 for a top full of holes so I did this -

You will need:
-An old fadded black tee, I picked up mine from savers for like $4.
-A lighter
-And one of those face masks Michael Jackson wears cause when you burn the holes the chemicals make you all dizzy and shit haha.

Method:
Its so simple you just need to be outside with a flat surface and burn the top from the inside then quckly put it out when the hole is a good size with a newspaper or something.

Then just chuck a singlet on under it and your ready to go or if your really confident just wear it with nothing under it.

Im just wearing this mesh like Jack London Tee under mine :)

I would die a thousand deaths for this jacket :(

So this is my number 1, would do anything for, even trade in my lovely boyfriend Marcel (sorry honey its a great jacket ;), sell my soul for must have item for this winter, only problem is its from Mathew Williamsons range for H&M which as all us hard done buy Aussies know H&M isnt available here. So I will be hounding ebay every spare second I get hoping some wonderful little scammer bought a few just to profit from selling them on ebay. PLEASE

I found this in one of those cheap $2 shops on Chapel St and I Fucking love love love it.

I can see it in the backyard of a Bikie Gangs club house on a crate thats used for a seat next to an old bon fire haha..

Thank God For Bleach Black

So for the past couple of years all Iv wanted to do is stud my clothes but I always assumed that it would take some kind of big machine but thankfully my best friend Bec got me into this AWESOME blog BleachBlack and they had the very handy DIY on how to stud and all it took was a few hours, some studs I ripped off my old belt, plyers and alot of patience.

By the end of the black blazer my fingers were litterally bleeding and in so much pain but I think it was worth it even though I am yet to wear it haha.

What do you think of the pink blazer? a bit much?

Its time to get new Boots Ricky

Iv had these dirty old things for years and always seem to end up wearing them when I go out even though everytime im like Ricky dont wear those gross boots tonight but anyway I found these cool studded straps to put on them (I just layered 2 straps one big spikes the other just standard pyramid studs) and now I love them more then before but the pic does them no justice.

Ok so im quite computer illiterate considering im from the Y generation but I am slowly working it out (hence my new addiction the oh so cool iphone) so you will have to bear with me while I work this blogging out but I promise it will be well worth the wait.
